Konstantinos Roumpos (ESR9) is based at the University of Freiburg.
Konstantinos Roumpos was born in Greece. He holds a Diploma in Applied Physics from the National Technical University of Athens. In February 2017, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Materials Science at the same university. Both his Diploma and his Masters theses were related to physical characterization of polymer nanocomposite materials.
Since April 2017, he has been working as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network PlaMatSu at the University of Freiburg. His contribution to the project is the development of plant-inspired surface patterns in thin polymer films. His PhD includes secondments at the universities of Fribourg and Cambridge and at PlaMatSu's industrial partner BASF.
