Aristotelis Kamtsikakis (ESR4) is based at the Adolphe Merkle Institute, University of Fribourg.
Aristotelis Kamtsikakis is a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher (ESR) and part of the PlaMatSu project. He was raised and educated in Athens (Greece), receiving his Chemical Engineering degree with Honours from the National Technical University of Athens in 2015. Currently, he is working under the supervision of Prof. Christoph Weder within the Polymer Chemistry and Materials group at the Adolphe Merkle Institute of the University of Fribourg (Switzerland).
His scientific interests lie at the interface of polymer science, biomimetics and chemical engineering. In the PlaMatSu project, Aris is developing composite membranes inspired by the architecture of plant cuticles. His aim is to study the interaction of these composites with water and other solutes such as ethanol for membrane applications.
